Sour Cream Banana Bread

This was my son's request so I made it with the kids today. My son asked me to make it everyday :)
Sour Cream Banana Bread
Serves 12 1 loaf

1/2 cup melted butter or oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed banana (I used 3 medium size)
1/2 cup chopped nuts (omit if you don't like nuts)
1/2 cup sour cream


  • Grease 1 large loaf pan.
  • Cream butter/oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • Add dry ingredients, then bananas, nuts and sour cream.
  • Mix well.
  • Bake at 350 F for 1 hour.

Ok, throw away all of your other banana bread recipes--this is the ONE! Made this last week and it didn't even last 24 hours. It is so good!!
